What is DAVACO's Elevator Pitch? Founded in 1990, DAVACO is the leading total solutions provider of high-volume remodel, reset and rollout programs for retail, restaurant and hospitality brands throughout North America. DAVACO specializes in the management and execution of digital signage, digital menu board and other technology upgrades. Digital services include: project development and management; survey, scope and budgeting; hardware/equipment recommendations; logistics/consolidation; construction/installation; connectivity and content verification; efficient/sustainable disposal of old assets; close-out; ongoing maintenance and service calls.
About You: Rick Davis, CEO: Rick Davis currently serves as the chief executive officer of DAVACO, where he is responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the company. Originally known as Fixture Perfect International (FPI), Rick founded the company in 1990 to meet the unique needs of retailers. Since then, he has led the company to become the nation’s number one retail and restaurant services provider. Rick was honored for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award as a finalist in 2000 and 2006. In 2006, he was inducted into the Retail Construction Hall of Fame. Rick currently serves on The Salvation Army’s Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Advisory Board and The Board of Advisors of the Baylor Angel Network with the Hankamer School of Business of Baylor University. He previously served on the SPECS Advisory Board.
What are your goals with joining the DSA? As the leading provider of turnkey digital services, DAVACO is committed to the success of the digital screenmedia industry and to our retail & restaurant clients as they execute these initiatives across North America. Through membership, we can better support the DSA’s mission of growth and advancement, and we look forward to the opportunity to develop and foster partnerships with the DSA and its members through the advocacy, education and networking opportunities.
What do you think about the current digital signage/digital out-of-home landscape? While digital screenmedia is still relatively new for many brands, we are clearly seeing a momentum shift towards technology-based solutions. No longer is digital an option; it has become a fundamental marketing tool for brands of all industries and segments. From driving sales to providing entertainment, today’s digital signage provides a unique and customizable approach to engaging consumers and building brand loyalty. The biggest challenge that many brands face when implementing a large-scale digital screenmedia program is the complexities of attaining and managing multiple components and resources. At DAVACO, we have a unique understanding of the multi-service digital industry, and we are able to streamline the process with turnkey services that yield greater efficiencies and speed-to-market.
