Best Entertainment/Gaming Deployment - Self-Service Kiosk
Project: Union Bank “Game Face” Client: Union Bank Submitted by: Inwindow Outdoor and Dentsu America
Brief overview of the project/technology:
Inwindow Outdoor’s and Dentsu America’s Game Face campaign for Union Bank engaged San Diego Chargers fans in a creative and imaginative way using innovative technology. Inwindow Outdoor created face morphing stations at four free-standing kiosks at various locations in Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, home of the National Football League’s Chargers. At each kiosk, fans attending the game stood in front of the kiosk screens and had their picture taken. Inwindow’s technology then overlaid the fan’s face with a random face paint pattern and super fan hairdo while they watched, creating that fan’s virtual Game Face. Fans could then use wireless keyboards to input their e-mail address to receive their image via e-mail and upload their image to Facebook. The email sent from the kiosk included the fan’s Game Face picture as well as Union Bank branding and a promotional offer from the bank. The kiosks were active during the final three home games of the Chargers 2010 season. During those games, thousands of people interacted with the kiosks and underwent the Game Face metamorphosis. As a result, thousands of email addresses were collected by Union Bank for future marketing opportunities.
Objectives of the deployment or the technology: The campaign's objective was to associate the Union Bank brand with a memorable, fun and deeply interactive experience enjoyed by thousands at the stadium.
