Advertising can get lost in the fold and many theater and concert audiences have grown impervious to traditional billboards, pop up signs, and posters. MSSI and AOpen are looking to change the way signs and advertising are presented to audiences and viewers around the world. The Best Buy Theater, located in the heart of New York, is very well known for hosting high profile events such as concerts, event parties, live television, web broadcasts, and award shows, including the Heisman Trophy Ceremony, which has taken place at this venue since 2005. The multi-use facility has hosted famous bands and singers such as Jennifer Lopez, Rhianna, Linkin Park, The Roots, New Found Glory, and Jay-Z. Drawing in such a wide and diverse audience, the Best Buy Theater has the potential to influence and inspire on a level that most venues would be unable to match with its intimate and updated décor and sophisticated digital signage deployment.

KFSH&RC has a network of 500+ screens that are installed in various locations in the hospital premises, common areas and hallways. These screens used to show a mix of live television broadcasts, health related information and other content in full screen format.

Content management was a manual process and required lot of man hours.  For example, VHS tapes or DVDs were often used as a content source. Old content had to be removed continuously and it was very difficult to manage time sensitive content.

John Wanamaker, an early Philadelphia department store owner (1875) and considered
by many to be the father of modern advertising, helped bring into focus a common
marketing frustration – then and now – with an often-quoted phrase: “Half the money I
spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half.”

While some marketers may still acutely agree with these words, times have changed – into a digital world - and tagging along with them are new shopper data collection and analysis practices – practices that ultimately stand to benefit the shopper, offering them a-call-to-digital action, heightened loyalty, and greater interactivity with their preferred brands. More so than ever, web-based and mobile marketing campaigns rely on a bevy of shopper behavior measurements, including demographics, gender, the types of purchases made, price points, the level of loyalty program engagement, coupon redemption and click rates, and the real-time location of the shopper.

BIGGER isn’t always better, especially in the digital signage world. Huge interactive touch-screens and giant LCDs have proven their worth as consumer engagement tools, but small screens are quickly earning respect because they maximize space, cut costs, provide versatility and attract huge amounts of attention. Leading retailers, restaurants and hotels are using compact digital displays – some with screens as small as 3.5-inches.

The Tempe PD officially began using Flypaper in June 2008 and within 10 months they developed a large training content library, and improved their overall training quality while saving money on long-term training costs.
