With offerings as creative and addictively delicious as Green Tea Strawberry Créme, MojiTea and Teappuccino, Argo Tea – a successful chain of specialty tea cafés – updated its static menu boards to cost-effectively improve its presentation and automate the delivery of new menu content. This Chicago-based chain of specialty tea cafés has installed a total of 78 BrightSign network-enabled digital signage players to deliver high-definition menu boards at the company’s 26 cafés located across the globe.

"BrightSign's digital signage players enabled us to consolidate management of our entire network of digital menu boards," said Simon Simonian, Argo Tea's Co-Founder. “For example, updating seasonal menu items from company headquarters centralized a process that created efficiencies and cost savings.”

Argo Tea’s triple-board menu displays use three ultra-compact BrightSign media players discreetly hidden behind slim 46- and 52-inch monitors for each location in Chicago, New York City, St. Louis, Boston, Beirut and Abu Dabi.

The owners of a Culver's restaurant in Palatine, Illinois, know their customers stand at the menu board for less than a minute before they make their selections. That is not a lot of time to communicate daily specials, price changes and new menu items as well as old favorites.

With humble Midwest origins dating back to the 1980s, Culver's was founded on the principal that it would only serve fresh, cook-to-order meals including the trademark ButterBurgers and custard. Now as a mature fast casual restaurant chain with 428 restaurants in 19 states across the United States, it can be a challenge to communicate information quickly. Plus, doing all of this a minimum cost makes for an even greater challenge.

The company was willing to use innovative technologies managing content on digital menu screens. They needed a system that would allow them to display information at the right place and the right time, controlled from a single point of contact in order to have overall and easy control to manage th content on the displays, with the possibility to run different content per display.
